Filipino Island Fest is a celebration of Filipino culture, community, and belonging. What began as a grassroots gathering in 2023 has grown into one of the Bay Area’s largest Filipino cultural events, bringing thousands together through food, music, art, entrepreneurship, and shared experiences.
This year’s theme, Rooted Here - Culture That Grounds Us. Community That Grows Us., reflects both where we come from and where we stand today. Grounded in the spirit of Bayanihan, it honors the connections, traditions, and collective strength that continue to shape our identity and future.

Join us for the 3rd Annual Calenda on Cal Ave!
What is Calenda? A Calenda is a joyful, moving community parade filled with music, dancing, and sometimes giant puppets. This year’s Calenda will celebrate cultures from across 3 continents, with celebrations from our Sister Cities of Maasai Mara, Kenya; Oaxaca, Mexico and Palo, Leyte, Philippines.

Save the Date! June 6th marks the 40th anniversary of Vallejo Pista Sa Nayon. Vallejo’s largest annual Filipino cultural celebration honors Philippine Independence Day through food, music, dance and performances that showcase the richness of the islands.
Vallejo Pista Sa Nayon was built year after year, by our community with passion and flair. Every year adds another chapter to our story. This year’s theme is, “Honoring Our Culture Through Kwentuhan (storytelling)”
